The origin of the various schools and foundations which offer courses in practical philosophy began in 1936 with the School of Economic Science in London, England. The school's studies focused on the natural laws that govern man's relationship to land and to his fellow man.  The motive of this study was to improve the quality of life experienced by society by determining the most harmonious means of living.

By the 1950s it became apparent that economics as a study was too small in scope, and a larger study, a study that dealt with man's relation to the universe, his ultimate purpose, and his true nature, only would be sufficient to improve the world situation.  Thus the study of philosophy began, and it continues to this day.

Schools and organizations affiliated with the original school in London (such as our foundation) have appeared all over the world, in New Zealand, Malta, South Africa, Canada, and the Unites States to name a few.  To the left are some links to school web-sites in North America and abroad.
